H&M Concious Exclusive Collection

My say on the H&M Concious Exclusive Collection....in selected stores and online from the 4th April. You've all seen the adverts for the concious collection, full of jungle inspired prints and more fresh spring in its step than a slinky! Well this is as it indicates a little more luxurious...

As I don't have much time, I'll sum up below the pics, sorry guys but I'm sure its a relief for some!

This dress instantly makes me think of my fellow blogger Ele-phant, perfect colour on her, amazing embroidery and a stunning shape...very keen - £69.99

I love a tulip shaped skirt, and with beautiful detailing and murky waters colour and print, I'd be convinced if I was the right shape to wear it...£69.99

The obligatory prom looking dress on first glance, but with that bust line and dark nail colour, it could work for the christmas do...£149.99

My first impression was that I wasn't too keen on the 3d roses on this but to be honest I'm slightly bored of graphic prints and on the right person it could work...I also like the fact the dress is layered to an almost sheer red, works better to give the impression of an higher quality - £69.99

As the most expensive piece this stands out for its girly detail and colour, it could be the quite obvious choice for a bride, I'm thinking...a hippy girl, no shoes, bare sand, beautiful complexion, a sub £200 dress for a wedding is a bargain!

The shoe thats everywhere, great proportions, nice heel height, worth a try out at £29.99

My absolute favourite piece, I LOVE kimonos and the colour of this means its great for the bedrooom or the restaurant, over a chic little dress on a season changing night for a little extra coverage....I can feel my credit card strings pulling...£59.99

Inspiration, or not for some...

Just a few of the things Im feeling in the coming months, weather & location depending!

ie. Summery dresses, all white and sheer lilac in Marrakech in a month or two....beanies with veils, basketball jerseys, and layering parkas anywhere in England for the unforseeable future!

I know these aren't awe inspiring and sort of right now trends but sometimes its just got to be done...

Enjoy

Oscars, Vanity & Elton...

Heres the low down on how I pick, I have about 15 mins to find, be inspired, or caught (by the eye), to save, to write and to upload. So I do flick very fast and this means I have to use instinct and it has to be noticeable. I know that what I pick isn't what most of Hollywood rave about but in all honesty I quite like that. If its not below its not that I don't like it its just not what I would wear...this is my favourites ie. what I would wear/what would suit me...I'm selfish with fashion like that! :)

Just a quick little sum up of the red carpet looks I favoured  most from The Oscars 2013, Elton John AIDS Foundation and The Vanity Fair Oscar Party...all those stars in one night, I hope they have tight security at home! (or homes?)

If you get a chance to watch this on tv, such as E!, then do, it does a lot more justice to the "looks" than photographs do!

Alicia Vikander in Elie Saab Couture - It's Elie Saab, say no more...perfect red carpet dresses every time! In particular I love the colour of this dress (I would have gone a little richer on the lips)

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior - This simple chic dress is understated but holds it own, and I love her hair!

Emmanuelle Riva in Lanvin- Say hello to me in 40 years time, this is how to dress as an mature woman, not neccessarily that she is covered up but its chic and demure! Werk it honey!

Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra - To be honest I think in terms of the actual dress this is my favourite, although I do love simple designs something a little extra and beautiful detail will always pull at my heart strings, or my sewing thread, whichever you prefer!

Samanatha Barks in Valentino - Keeping it simple, I think the pose gives it edge!

Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen - Something a little more playful, love the colour, love the print, love the movement, minus that partic belt, love love LOVE, as always with McQueen! (not keen on the quiff though)

Marisa Tomei in Valentino - Again, more fun, beautiful detail.

Mena Suvari in Lisa Ho - I'd wear this out on a Saturday, whether thats a bad thing or not I dont know, but I like it!

What were your faves...?

And just because this site doesnt allow anything between X-Large & original size heres a few .... to allow you to see the bigger picture...pun intended!

To me, the collection is very Rihanna, in that the items are in some senses simple enough to be worn from morning till night. They can be styled up and down with accessories and jewellery galore, one of Rihanna's style patents...add a hat, some gold chains, a bunch of rings and away she goes - and she looks damn fine too!

And the winner is...

(Obviously Chris Brown saw my blog last week on white, white, WHITE!...at least I'll pretend to take credit for the hotness he rocked yesterday!)

So....The award for best dressed goes toooooooooo...I jest! And that on my part, was such a played out introduction, but time is money people, and I am spinning with timescales and to do's!

Just a few of my favourite ensembles from last nights festivities...

Not him?! *sorry..nails and dress I love!

Who knew a matching jacket (as madly cut as it is) would work? But it does!

Im not usually a fan of the ol' cutouts but this is sex on her ridiculously gorgous legs!!!

I think Maroon 5 look ridiculously dappa and take the whole "band matching outfits" to another level!

Lady in red...SNM!

Chris looking HOT! *swoon

And just on a cute note, did you see Wiz protectively escorting Amber on the red carpet, touching and truely beautiful!

White on white on white on white...

My focus at the moment is white, after a wonderfully snowy winter I'm jumping into spring with my tail feathers behind me and all I can think of is white. Its a colour that not everyone can wear and to be honest I'm not too sure I can pass it off 100%, but that doesn't stop me trying!

My initial inspiration came from this...LOVE it! I want to wear his "out out", and soon, while its still a bit nippy because the fur just works!

Heres a few other inspirational white ensembles from Calvin Klein and Elie Saab to ASOS and Boohoo...(Haven't had much time so its a little thin for my liking!)

Calvin Klein - I love the optical illusion this overlay creates and its a stunning shape to boot!

Balmain - can you say much more!

Elie Saab - 3 stunning dresses that would do most justice...stunning perfection!

A beautifully cut sheer top with amazing jewellery over, simple!

Love this bag, a little bit of monochrome into the mix!

I wish I lived somewhere like New York where this would be acceptable, I think walking down my High Street would be a stretch even for me...how I love it though?

This is £20 from Boohoo...very Simone Rocha, I plan to take it in at the hem to become less maxi and wear it on my city break to Marrakech (Have I mentioned I'm going there?!? ha)

These have put a serious hinder on my plans to buy the classic black version...now I'm thinking I have black heels....£42 from ASOS, I think it would be a crime not too!

How would you wear it!
