Oscars, Vanity & Elton...

Heres the low down on how I pick, I have about 15 mins to find, be inspired, or caught (by the eye), to save, to write and to upload. So I do flick very fast and this means I have to use instinct and it has to be noticeable. I know that what I pick isn't what most of Hollywood rave about but in all honesty I quite like that. If its not below its not that I don't like it its just not what I would wear...this is my favourites ie. what I would wear/what would suit me...I'm selfish with fashion like that! :)

Just a quick little sum up of the red carpet looks I favoured  most from The Oscars 2013, Elton John AIDS Foundation and The Vanity Fair Oscar Party...all those stars in one night, I hope they have tight security at home! (or homes?)

If you get a chance to watch this on tv, such as E!, then do, it does a lot more justice to the "looks" than photographs do!

Alicia Vikander in Elie Saab Couture - It's Elie Saab, say no more...perfect red carpet dresses every time! In particular I love the colour of this dress (I would have gone a little richer on the lips)

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior - This simple chic dress is understated but holds it own, and I love her hair!

Emmanuelle Riva in Lanvin- Say hello to me in 40 years time, this is how to dress as an mature woman, not neccessarily that she is covered up but its chic and demure! Werk it honey!

Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra - To be honest I think in terms of the actual dress this is my favourite, although I do love simple designs something a little extra and beautiful detail will always pull at my heart strings, or my sewing thread, whichever you prefer!

Samanatha Barks in Valentino - Keeping it simple, I think the pose gives it edge!

Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen - Something a little more playful, love the colour, love the print, love the movement, minus that partic belt, love love LOVE, as always with McQueen! (not keen on the quiff though)

Marisa Tomei in Valentino - Again, more fun, beautiful detail.

Mena Suvari in Lisa Ho - I'd wear this out on a Saturday, whether thats a bad thing or not I dont know, but I like it!

What were your faves...?

Enjoy

Paris Fashion Week - Spring Summer 2013

Ok so I missed out on blogging on LFW but lets be fair, LDN has had its fair of attention this year!

So as I have a spare half hour I've pulled together the images that have been catching my over the past few days...

Up first, my love, Alexander McQueen!

Up next,Lanvin...simple yet beautifully cut!

The talking point, Balmain...The detail alone is masterful! I have chosen the pieces I would 100% wear, ie. a normal persons diary events etc

Chanel...that hula hoop bag! A-mezing!

I await Ellie Saab's show this afternoon...

Enjoy

My shoe woe....

Over the past few weeks I have found a diet that has been working for me , can someone say MIRACLE! But finding the shoes I plan on treating myself to when I reach my initial target is even harder!!!

I have searched everywhere including Christian Louboutin (LOVE but the odd pair I want are £1000+ or they are older rarer pairs you CANNOT find, those pesky celebs keep them tucked away!), YSL, Topshop, Kandee, Net-a-Porter, River Island, Guiseppe Zanotti, Alexander McQueen, ASOS, Nicholas Kirkwood, Kurt Geiger, Brian Atwood, Zara…*gasps for air….and anywhere else you may think of! I havent included the DP’s or New Look’s of the highstreet as although they may do some nice designs, this is a treat and they wouldn’t feel AS precious…I am going to look if any of the below aren’t around when I reach target though ; ) Hey I don’t discriminate!ha

Anywho, back on track, the challenge of finding a pair of going “out out” heels seems to have become near on impossible. Is it because the designs are soooooo samey or just too much? Or have my tastes changed? Here are the few I have found that I do like (I think)….lets see how I feel when I get there ….Initial target is 17 pounds away! I have literally just scraped over half way point…Lets do this!!!!

River Island - £55 – Like the simple shape but am I going to cut of my ankles…hhmmmm

Guiseppe Zanotti - £585 – Unsure whether I really do like these or not?

Guiseppe Zanotti - £450 – classic colour, simple peeptoe…too simple to be a treat though???

WOW…see how short the list was????
Here are the shoes that are no longer available, that I wish I could have had the chance to  purchase…I might go and cry now!

Charlotte Olympia....they do do an actual peopard print now, and a different style of this print, but this is the one I wanted!!!

Christian Louboutin banana 140 python pumps.....my first and foremost choice if anyone has them for sale!!!

Lanvin released these in 3 colour....oh this is depressing!!!

Christian Louboutin Balota 150 in royal blue suede.....I love a blue shoe...oh how I am blue!!!

Viktor and Rolf...mesh bootie!!! *tears well up...

Let me know what you think…do you have any suggestions? HELP!!!!

Enjoy

100th post!!!....its all about colour...!

One of Vogue.com's latest fashion trends to note is "Ibiza beach". The upmarket & trendy but party island is all about colour, and here are my favourite bright dresses...I'm a massive fan of colour over print (its far more slimming for me as I'm too heavy right now!)

A beatiful zing-y tone of lilac with a ultra sexy thigh split from MaxMara- instant amazing-ness!

A stunning floorsweeper perfect to out-do everybodies outifts from Lanvin....I'd add a vintage animal broach to the waist reminiscent of last seasons parachute dress with the insect on the neckline (loveeeeee)

And finally Jil Sanders' shorter number in almost ultra violet purple for those who like to show a lot of leg...and why not!
